I had question about creating worlds in your 3D games. Im using DirectX8, and was woundering if anyone had/have a tutorial or link to an editor.( A program I can use to create my 3D worlds in my games). thanks =)

People use valve''s hammer editor ( formerly known as worldcraft ), which produces a native .map format.

Thats a pretty bad format to use for your own games. Parsing it is a total bitch. E.g. a cube is defined in the .map format as 6 planes. You need to get a plane equation for the 3 coordinates given, and intersect all the planes, finding out where the vertices are by where they intersect. Then you need to make the object into triangles from the vertex soup.
