I am trying to start up direct music... according to the DirectX 7 docs, it says do this...

TOTWGPG  says do this:
if( FAILED( CoInitialize( NULL )))

If I use CoInitialize, no problems, but using CoInitializeEx, the compiler says: error C2065: 'CoInitializeEx' : undeclared identifier now I'm sure there is somthing that needs to be included, but I don't know what it is. Or does it really matter? //My header files included in code: #include <windows.h> #include <objbase.h> #include <mmsystem.h> #include <dsound.h> #include <dmksctrl.h> #include <dmusici.h> #include <dmusicc.h> #include <dmusicf.h> //.lib things included... dsound.lib winmm.lib dxguid.lib I think, therfore I am. I think? [edited by - glass_knife on August 18, 2002 8:20:08 AM] [edited by - glass_knife on August 18, 2002 8:21:36 AM] [edited by - glass_knife on August 18, 2002 8:22:46 AM]
