i tried to port some of my older windows-code to linux & compiled with gcc. now i''m getting some strange error-message, and i can''t figure out, what''s the problem. it says : "undefined reference to ''function_name() virtual table''" what could this be ? i know, that i''ve declared & defined the function right. i''m also sure, i''ve linked my files correctly. i''ve read the message before (searched in google) & lots of people there wrote they had the problem & solved it... but don''t write how they did. some write : "it''s in the FAQ", but there is no FAQ ! can anyone tell me what the error-message means, and how to solve the problem ?

A search on <A href="http://groups.google.com/groups?q=function_name%28%29+virtual+table&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&btnG=Google+Search">http://groups.google.com</A> for "function_name() virtual table" seems to turn up a number of results which may apply...
