When I run my program on a different computer then the dude on screen walks faster when the arrow keys are held down. On my computer he walks slower. Is there a best way to slow down how many times per second the keyboard is read?

why dont u have ur characters move with time, ie: have characers move 60 pixels per seconds _instead of_ 60 pixels per frame. then ur animations would be the same on all computers.

Or just limit your frame rate. Make it so the game only runs at 30 FPS for example, then make it so that the character only moves 3 pixels per frame or whatever.
