Weighted Vertex in gl

Hi, Im trying to implement weighted vertices using the extension "GL_EXT_vertex_weighting"; which is the two matrix skinned bone extension. Ok, heres the situation. I setup my model and matrices ok as far as i can tell. If I draw it in wireframe, with the fillmode as lines, everything appears to draw corectly. but when i try to draw it in filled mode, Im getting a very wierd result, the triangles seem to be elongated a few hundred units and I get a porcuipine looking thing. I can switch between wireframe and filled and its using the same exact code path, in fact the only thing I have to change is the fillmode and it gets completely whacked. Does anyone have any ideas??? Thank you for your help.
