Err... FPS? Unless I''m completely misunderstanding you, your game doesn''t have an FPS value.
DOS-box games don''t use frameloops of any sort usually, so no FPS there.
Anyway, it''s a good start. Keep going with it, adding all sorts of fun interactive stuff to it.

did anyone look at the source? i shouldnt be using cout to do everything should i..? i want to make a system where at anytime the person can type move south and he will move then be tracked some how.
