Low-level .x-file question

Hi I''m currently trying to write an ms3d importer for .x-files, but I''ve got a problem with the way float''s are stored. I''d appreciate if someone could explain how to convert the data from a byte array to float. Another thing, if someone would like to test the plugin when I''ve solved this problem, feel free to mail me, it won''t be very advanced at first ( just mesh importing ) but I''ll try to make it more capable as soon as I get this annoying thing fixed =)

I really need help with this, so please, if someone knows, can make a guess, or even a wild speculation, please reply =)

The code you suggested was pretty much my first attempt, tho =) I''ll guess I''ll go and rip out that portion of code and re-write it from the the ground.. Thanks for taking the time.
