Does anyone know if binding texture 0 in OpenGL disables texturing on every card or just some?

OpenGL disables texturing if you use glBindTexture with texture 0, not depending on your card.

Yep, OpenGL sees that as passing NULL as the second parameter, which means you aren''t going to be using texturing until you call it again with a valid texture number.
