I''d like to know how to create an ortographic matrix from the following values: - the left and right coordinates of the vertical clipping planes - the bottom and top coordinates of the horizontal clipping plane - the near and far distances of the nearer and farther depth clipping planes (I took this all from some OpenGL documentation ) I know you can set up an orthographic matrix by callin glOrhto with there parameters in OpenGL, but I want to build the matrix myself for various reasons. Two hours of searching didn''t get me the results.

assuming left-handed:

you will want to bring the top front left corner to the origin. subtract [Left,Top,Near]

squish it into screen coodrinates, scale by [ScreenX/(Right-Left),-ScreenY/(Bottom-Top),1/Far]
