the MSDN library that came with VC++ is 1.2 gig big, so feel free to download that from MS

In a corner by the door were thousands of switches. They were marked with words Linda did not understand: "Line... Feed... Load... Flipflop..."
But she could understand the small green signs under each switch. They all said, "On."
"You take half!" Al cried. He began to hit the switches with both hands. He was turning off five at a time. Red lights began to flash. They said, "Off... Off... Off."

Exactly what we need to do with Windows.

i''ll take a look at the platform sdk stuff
but
i''m looking for all related c/c++ stuff mostly (core,win32 ....)
having visual basic, java and asp stuff would be good too but i would consider it to be extras

and downloading 1.2 GB of help files for c++ is probably the most useful thing to ever download

Writing a web spider to retrieve all that documentation from the online MSDN would make a nice project for someone... :-)

When I look upon seamen, men of physical science, and philosophers, man is the wisest of all beings. When I look upon priests, prophets, and interpreters of dreams, nothing is so contemptible as man.
