I''m not directly using Winsock but HawkNL instead and it worked with Windows ME and now (without changing the code) it fails. I think there is a driver/hardware error but all commercial multiplayer games work for me.

Interesting. But guess what? WahGetContext isn''t exported by ws2help.dll on W2K. You might want to grab the latest version of HawkNL and if that doesn''t work, then you should let Phil know. He''s a good guy.

For the record, here''s a list of exports from the w2k version of ws2help.dll:
WahCloseApcHelper WahCloseHandleHelper WahCloseNotificationHandleHelper WahCloseSocketHandle WahCloseThread WahCompleteRequest WahCreateHandleContextTable WahCreateNotificationHandle WahCreateSocketHandle WahDestroyHandleContextTable WahDisableNonIFSHandleSupport WahEnableNonIFSHandleSupport WahEnumerateHandleContexts WahInsertHandleContext WahNotifyAllProcesses WahOpenApcHelper WahOpenCurrentThread WahOpenHandleHelper WahOpenNotificationHandleHelper WahQueueUserApc WahReferenceContextByHandle WahRemoveHandleContext WahWaitForNotification

I know this is not a HawkNL problem because I use W2K every day for testing, and all the precompiled sample apps work fine. I also checked my copy of the ws2help.dll and you are right, it does not export WahGetContext.

You must have recompiled HawkNL yourself, so what compiler did you use? What compiler settings did you use?

Download the latest precompiled DLL from http://www.hawksoft.com and see for yourself that it works fine.
