what will affect the speed of drawing a triangle?

All of them will effect how fast the triangle draws, but unless you have really old hardware, you won''t notice.

The color depth effects it. The orientation effects it. Wether or not your socks match effects it.

Just reduce the state-change-calls (glMaterial* etc.) and use GL_TRIANGLE_STRIP and GL_TRIANGLE_FAN whenever it is possible. This will increase performance and doesn''t affect the way your scene looks.
