too slow

I have a 8 meg matrox card on a P2-400. I ran there Unreal Tournament and runs ok (15-25 FPS I guess). Now I ave a small open gl application one of NeHe''s samples just a cube with 2 textures. This runs terible slow 0.03FPS. Any help. Thank you MCO

Have a look at the output from glGetString(GL_VENDOR) and glGetString(GL_RENDERER). You may be running in software mode.

buy a new computer lol I just upgraded to an AMD athon 1.6 and it is incredible.. improved my scores in quake 3. My celeron 700Mhz choked on quake at a whopping 40fps and 128Mb ATI radeon. You may want to upgrade.

textures slow it down also, without textures the fps should increase.
