Hi all, i am making a character animation engine (sleletal animation), i am supposed to import 3ds max4 and character studio animations (pibes and bones), so how could i import these animations and making multiple animations (run, walk, jump ...) and transitions between them?, am i suppose to load it with DirectX skinned mesh object? ... thanx

Mr. Adams has a paper on it somewhere on this very site.
You''ll prolly find slightly better coverage in his book though (Programming Role Playing Games with DirectX), although both are quite informative.
