HWND hEdit;
hEdit = CreateWindowEx( NULL, RICHEDIT_CLASS, "",
WS_CHILD | WS_VISIBLE | ES_DISABLENOSCROLL | ES_MULTILINE | ES_WANTRETURN,
0, 0, clientRect.right, clientRect.bottom,
hChildWnd, (HMENU)ID_MDI_CHILD_EDIT, hInstance, NULL);
Rich Edit Controlls
I am trying to create a Rich Edit Control in a MDI child window but it doesn't work. The code compiles fine but the class doesn't seem to be registered. I call InitCommonControls() at the beginning of my code and use the following code to try to create the Rich Edit Control.
hChildWnd, hInstance and clientRect are all working fine.
I have checked to see if the class has been registered with GetClassInfo() and it seems that the class is not registered. Does anyone know how to register it or any other step I am missing?

Where is the edit window being created? Looking at my mdi+richedit app - I create the edit window from WM_CREATE in MDIChildWndProc.
Did you load riched20.dll (or one of the other richedit dll''s depending on the version you want)? Here''s a snip from some of my code:
if (!LoadLibrary("riched20.dll"))
{
ERRORMSG("Error Loading Riched20.dll");
return -1;
}
