Not to sound mean but why would you want to look for a kit on the Dreamcast when they are not making games for it anymore or supporting it?

Why not look for the Playstation2, GameCube, Xbox?

Becuase we can make our own games, and maybe breath some new life into the market of console games. New fresh ideas need to be pushed!

i''m still in love with my dreamcast!
i don''t like sega too much
i mean how many times can you f*** up a good thing!
but i would like to know where i can get a kit and also
a GOOD tutorial on DC game development (hopefully similar to the GL and DX ones).

i''ve tried jules, dcdev, hitmen, and the list goes on but there
isn''t anything there for beginners, coding wise that is.

so if anyone can point in the RIGHT direction it would be appreciated.

Yeah, well I dont like Sega too much, but more to do with buying shares in the company that designed the graphics chip in Dreamcast and watching the shares drop from £6.00+ to (currently 29p) when Sega pulled it.

You really don''t need a dev kit for the dreamcast - it''s possible to burn your own regular CDRs to run games from the console. Check out some sites like www.dcemulation.com for information on doing this.
