Is it possible, using the RayInteresectsPoly function, to get the name the material of the the poly that was hit, and the model on which it was located? Assuming you had separate materials for each body part, couldn''t location-specific damage be accomplished this way? (Meaning a shot to the head would do damage than to the feet, etc). Also, would you be able to get the texture coordinates of the point on the poly that was hit, so you could add a blood spot? Would this be too slow to be feasible?

On the part, yeah, getting the specific poly on a char for locationary damage would be really easy.

As for the second thing, since you would only need to calculate the conversion to U,V when you had an intersect, it should be possible to do feasibly in realtime, depending on how many weapons and intersects you are using.
