Beginner: Creating textures from a file...

Hello All, I''m a newbie DX programmer, so I''m sure this is a pretty straightfoward question. I''m playing around making a tile based engine, and I want to be able to load just a portion of the .bmp file into memory as a texture. So, my .bmp contains six tiles, each 32x32. If I want to get the second tile, how would I load that into a DX8 Texture? Alternativley, would it be more efficient to load the entire .bmp into memory and refer to just a portion of it when I call the SetTexture method? Thx! --Ben
