Developing with Flash or Shockwave
I''m becoming more and more interested and trying to develop games with Flash or Shockwave, but I haven''t found any good leads on tutorials or anything.
So, does anyone have some helpful advice, tips, or tutorials to getting started?

Guess you didn''t read the first sentence of the post.
Excuse me if I thought this was a forum for acquiring help; of course, what else could you expect from someone who choose to remain anonymous when posting such a reply?

Check http://www.director-online.com/ for some really good Director tutorials, including how to make some pac-man type stuff... most of the pages have interactive demos as well...
Also, check out http://www.setpixel.com/ for some of the most amazing Director stuff around, most with source code.
Also, check out http://www.robotduck.com/ for some really amazing Director games, as well as a handful of good tutorials.
Hope this helps...

I''ve been doing Flash game development for over a year now. There is lot''s of great information out there. My favorite Online Flash resource is flashkit.com (mentioned in a previous reply). It has a huge section of Flash tutorials including one on creating a side scroller space shooter.
As far as my advice goes though, get a couple of good books on Flash if you want to do anything serious. Web resources are great when you want to find something specific, but a good reference book will help you get a broader understanding of the power (and limitations) of Flash.
A good Flash game development book is called Flash Games Studio and it''s published by Friends of Ed. It is for Flash 5 but you can most likely adapt it to MX.
