dp8e_CreatePlayer()

directplay8event_createplayer() the sdk says its called when a player is created, yet neither the client or the server has a create player function. so i ask, when is this called? --Fireking Owner/Leader Genetics 3rd Dimension Development

The server generates a call to create player for the local player as soon as you set it up.
Then when clients connect, you get a connect received message, if you return S_OK it will connect and the server gets a create player message. The player info is set on the client with another function
