Positech Games are proud to announce the release of their Space Arcade/Strategy game Planetary Defense! The game has just today gone on sale online through our publisher RealGames, and you can download the game now from this link: http://realguide.real.com/games/?s=game_download&sub=planetarydefense Planetary Defense is a tiny download (only 1.2MB if you already have the RealArcade client, 6MB otherwise) and is happy to run on older systems, whilst taking full advantage of newer PCs to deliver some excellent 3D-accelerated graphics. Planetary Defense is, at heart a simple arcade shooter, which becomes more and more tactical as you progress through the 16 included missions. You are in charge of defending your planet from waves of attacking alien rockets, by shooting them down using your own missiles, before they hit the planets surface or your cities. Later levels include defensive shields around your planet, moons with missile bases and cities on them, ''cloaked'' enemy ships, satellites that use lasers to fire at your missiles, and other gameplay features. Planetary Defense is multi-lingual and automatically selects the right language from French, English, Italian, German and Spanish. The demo allows you to play for a full hour, so there is no risk involved! What are you waiting for? download the game and try it now! http://www.positech.co.uk

I would love to try this game, but I wouldn''t touch Real Arcade with a ten foot pole. Anyway to download a demo of the game that doesn''t come bundled with Real Arcade?

Im afraid not, which is a real pain. It will be shareware in 3 months.
What''s wrong with RealArcade? I find it fine, Its easy to tick the boxes telling it not to connect to the web...
Its just a convenient way to oranise your games, better than lots of desktop shortcuts and directories.
