counter-strike sensitivity

does anyone how the sensitivity in counter-strike works? im interssed in simulate it with directinput but then i need to know the "algorithm" for sensivity and mousemoving well, i think you get it...

I think it''s just a matter of multiplying the mouse offsets by a given float value. The higher the float value, the greater the sensitivity.

There might even be a DirectInput function to tell the system the mouse is more sensitive (causing it to return larger offsets), but I don''t know.

I think mouse sensitivity in hl modified the system sensitivity because I remeber that my mouse used to get a weirdly fast after playing hl (cs)
