which 3D Format?

Hi, I would to code a SpaceSim, like Wing Commander, but I don''t know which 3D format is the best for my game? plz help! sorry for bad english

Hi, what do you mean by 3D format? If you mean 3D API (OpenGL/Direct3D), you shouldn''t ask, because it''s been asked _too_ many times

Iam also looking for 3d file format. Currently I am using .x files from directx, but the loaders are not good.

MD2 is very good and easy! I have written an MD2 model viewer in VB, check it out at matrixvb.da.ru
For a space Sim I''d say use .3ds (3D Studio Max) files. Plenty of info about on file formats and making loaders and stuff for them and plenty of models around or modelling packages that support the format if you want to make your own.

For small modells you could use md2 or md3 (Quake series model formats). For maps you could use BSP maps .
