First I just want to say: Thanks to everyone who helps me out in this forum. It''s times like this, when I could use help, that I really appreciate ideas. So here is the issue: I''m taking an openGL class is college, and we each have to model somthing, and put it in a display list so everyone can use everyone else''s stuff. Since the program is due on holloween, I decided to do a grim reaper. I had an idea that I could use a simple form of heightmap to give the black cloak that wavy look. I''ve searched the net, and looked in my Game Programming Gems books, but all the examples are really complex, involving fractals and tons of code. Does anyone have any ideas how I might get that hightmap look. I don''t need 10,000 tiles, and I don''t mind brute forcing it. The thing is due next week. Any ideas would help. And if you think this isn''t going to work, let me know, so I''ll have time to come up with something else. Thanks for any input you guys have. I think, therfore I am. I think?
