go to http://www.delorie.com/djgpp for a great 32-bit DOS Freeware C\C++ compiler. Also, search for "C compiler" on a big file site like download.com.

There are several compilers available for download, but choosing the best one depends on what you''re wanting to accomplish. Some compilers are for DOS and won''t do Windows apps. Some are 16-bit, some are 32. Some can handle C++, others just C. Some have an IDE (editing environment), others are just command-line based.

Go here for 4 choices. One choice not listed is the newly released Borland command-line compiler available from here. This Borland compiler is a great compiler, but cumbersome to use if you''re not familiar with command-line compilers.
