Would you mind telling us which compiler you just got? If you want sample code you''ve got to tell us in which language you want it in...

A C compiler would use this:

#include

int main() { puts("Hello World!\n"); }

A C++ compiler could do the above, and would compile this:

#include
using namespace std;

int main() { cout << "Hello World!\n"; }

A Perl compiler: Print "Hello World!" (i think, may be a bit different)

A Java compiler:

class HelloWorldApp {
public static void main (String[] args)
{
System.out.println("Hello World!");
}
}

A BASIC compiler : 10 Print "Hello World!"

I will not describe any of them, i don''t have the time
