My directx c++ program is giving me a whole bunch of crap that i have never encountered, and is even above my head in what the heck is wrong. all my program''s suposed to do is set display mode 640*480*8 and then wait for the user to press ESC and then return to windows. I was recently trying to figure out ddutil.h / ddutil.cpp and was just fooling around with it trying to learn it. After a few tests, all i tried to do is acutally display the bitmap on the primary surface. However, this gave me an illegal error crap and said the program exit code was -1. so to fix this i took out the ddutil code and left it to do basic stuff(set screen mode and all that crap). But now, all that wont work. When i try to execute the program, it does nothing but give me a waiting cursor for a few seconds and thats it. Ive never had this problem before, and i cant figure it out. ALL HELP WOULD BE APRECIATED!!! on request i can post the source code NOTHING->is impossible if you know it to be true
