Modem Commands in Windows

In a winodws enviroment, is it possible to open up COM2: and start sending commands to the modem like you can in DOS?

I''ve done it before, but i can''t remember how. I know thats not much use. Look at outp, outpw, outpd i think, but i can''t remember how to get the port number - i might have got it from the system configuration.
