How to capture an opengl screen?

I have a question about capturing a screen shot to a raster file on a open gl program, am I just using
sprintf(filename, "%s-%d.ras", argv[0], image_number);
or I need more code on that?
Can some one teach me how to do it?

Use glReadPixels();
