I am creating an applet at the moment and testing it in IE6. Unfortunetely, I cant seem to get the most update compiled applet on the page which is really annoying cause I cant see how it is. I used to think holding shift and pressing reload would refresh the java memory cache but it doesnt anymore. Any ideas?

if you''re using sun''s jdk open the javaconsole (little thing in your task bar), press h for a list of commands, one of them is flush cache (I think it''s x or d or maybe f ). THEN hit shift+Reload and you''ll refresh the applet cache.

andy, i had the same problem when i first started out doing applets. if i had any browser window open, the old applet would load. so you could try to close all browsers and then start the browser again.

but, as mentioned, use appletviewer insted (or develop it as an application and simply make it an applet when it''s done).
