Hey, i''ve been working with OpenGl and DirectX for a little while now on windows machines, and i understand how to create windowed apps with them and program for them. I was wondering where/what the best place to learn just programming windowed apps is. I want to learn to write standard apps for windows like a word pad, or a art program or even creating a 3d modeling program. I know i should learn COM and MFC, but anything else i should be looking for?? where should i start?? I''ve tried working through Mastering Visual C++ 6 a few times, but its a just a little to over my head. So help me out, all suggestions and/or tales of failures/triumphs from experience with this material are and will be greatly appreciated. thanks again in advance guys, --Ninj4D4n
