I have a .cpp file that includes dsound.h as its first included file. However, the compiler (MSVC5.0) chokes on it with the following line: c:\CODING\DX7ASDK\INCLUDE\dsound.h(61) : error C2239: unexpected token ''*'' following declaration of ''WAVEFORMATEX'' Which points to this: typedef const WAVEFORMATEX *LPCWAVEFORMATEX; Are they trying to tell me that WAVEFORMATEX is not defined yet? If so, why don''t they include something relevant in their header file? And does WAVEFORMATEX actually need to be defined just to typedef a pointer to it? (I guess they should call it struct WAVEFORMATEX, perhaps.) The help says to include mmreg.h for WAVEFORMATEX, but that just throws out the maximum 102 errors. I''ve been coding all day and am sick of debugging! Can anyone shed some light on this please?
