DirectDraw in MFC

Can I use a DirectDraw7 Surface on an MFC Dialog? From what I''ve tried, it seems that everything initializes alright, however nothing shows up drawn on the dialog. Any help would be appreciated, thanks...

Yes you can. In my map editor I set up ddraw with GetSafeHwnd() and it works. Make sure you are actually flipping the back and front buffer or else nothing will show up...
