Environment texture

Q3 uses stuff like environment textures, how could I use an texture for environment reflections? I think Q3 is using cubemapping, I don''t want to cubemap the "real" environment, only an texture I load from file wich looks like reflection. Hmm, me talking crappy english, but hope ya understand

Draw your world from the six viewing points of the cubemap. Then render with this cubemap your geometry from the user''s point of view. It''s very slow but it''s about the only way to go. You do not need to update the cubemap every frame to make it look good.
