It really bugged me back in ''95 that Visual C++ didn''t come with a printed manual. Looking everything up within MSDN made a learning a bit disjointed.
I probably wouldn''t have learned OpenGL if I wouldn''t have bought books on the subject. I''m not one to learn from source code. I prefer to know the theory behind the code, not just the result.
Also, I don''t like the internet being my "book", so to speak. If I find a page on the net that I like, and I think I''ll need it again, I save it to my hard drive instead of linking to it.
