Vertex organising? ...etc etc

Hi, I'm working on a simple/medium poly model of the M16 Rifle. I'm fairly new to modeling and I could use some help. To model the rifle, i'm using tripatches (3DSMAXR3) and then moving around the verts to fit the image that I put in the left viewport. I'm modeling each area separately and then im going to weld an attach everything ..etc etc If you look at this image you can see what a I mean. One thing I am wondering is... Those verts and faces are a little un-organized, and they might mess stuff up later in the modeling process (Or something along those lines). Is there any way to make all of them nice and even and stuff without disrupting the actual "shape" I put them into? Also, if you have any other tips for this type of modeling, please tell me, I could sure use the help. Thanks in advance. [edited by - raymondo on November 6, 2002 6:52:14 PM]
