If you like D&D type games please take a look at my newest DirectX Delphi game. (Servants of the Dark Empire) A long time ago I played and loved an ASCII game called "DND" - I wanted to make a game similar but with graphics. Let me know anything you like or dislike about this game. I need as much feedback as I can get about this game. You can check out my site where you can see a screenshot and download if you like. http://www.lasthalfofdarkness.com/servants Thanks Bill

The screenshot looks very nice, but maybe it could be bigger so we can see in more detail? Perhaps 2 or 3 of them would help, too.

Thanks for the comment - I set it up so you can click on the smaller screenshot to see a larger one.

I just finished downloading and playing for around 15 minutes to get a first impression of the game. I really like it. I had a problem with my mouse curser vanishing or blinking but it really didnt hinder my playing the game at all. the graphics are good and i love the simple controls. It''s really an easy game to get into. I have a couple of questions though. It might just have been my short playing time, but I couldnt tell how much health my character had. i was fighting and suddenly i''m lying in a pool of blood. did i miss the meter or number gauge? i also had some trouble reading the map, it was hard for me to distinguish the walls from the passageways. that might just be me though. I liked the ghost character in the beginning of the dungeon, the art on her was well done. are there other npc''s you meet later on deeper in the dungeons? are there spells (portal spells) where yyou dont have to do extensive backtracking to reach the shop and then back where you were before? if not, it might be a good feature to add. maybe buying spellbooks at a high price to reward extensive exploration of the dungeons. When playing this game, I had forgotten how much I enjoyed the classic dungeon crawl game. For me, it reminded me of dungeon hack. The constant need to go further and deeper into the depths. I''m going to play some more to get a better impression of your game. i really enjoyed this.

Thanks for playing...

Yes - there is a "Scroll of Portal" that you find in the dungeons (it requires a certain amount of Magic points to use) It will allow you to portal back to the dungeon entrance when used.

As far as your health - it is shown at the upper-right corner of the screen. You start out with 100% - but let me know if it goes down too quickly when fighting - it might be too fast on really fast computers.

Yeah - you''re right about the mini-map walls not being 100% distingushable.

Let me know how far you get.

Servants of the Dark Empire

Thanks
