Raycasting floors

Hello, I''m writing basic 3D DOOM style engine in Java, I''v got as far as the walls and now I need a fast algorithm to render floors, I have a few good ideas on how to start but nothing solid yet. So and anybody point me in the direction of some good guides or artciles. Also... how are the pseudo reflections and bumpmapping done and at like on the 7th and 14th applets here; at such speed? Does this technique have a name? thanks.
