WM_NCCREATE

What does this do? All msdn says is that lparam is a pointer to createstruct, but what does it do with that pointer ----------------------------- Anything worth doing is worth doing for money

well for some reason my program is failing there, my program will run WM_NCCREATE but never get to WM_CREATE, any ideas why?

Probably you don''t return the correct value. You should pass the WM_NCCREATE message on to DefWindowProc and return the value it gives you (which will be 1). Returning 0 will signal CreateWindow that window creation has failed, causing your window not to appear.
