MSVC++ Clearing the screen

Ok im using MSVC++ 6.0 and i created a win32 app and im wondering what code do i type in to clear the screen after i have code in like: cout<<" Hello welcome to etc.." endl; another thing is what can i put in to make the text bigger in side teh window thank you and please help There are no stupid questions just stupid people [edited by - Gdemw on November 10, 2002 11:02:29 PM] [edited by - Gdemw on November 10, 2002 11:12:55 PM]

You're from Missouri, so it's safe to assume you know basic punctuation and grammar rules. Use 'em. And be more specific.

Much better. The suggestion in the next post down will likely aid you. Include stdlib.h (not sure what the std version is called; might be cstdlib; might be stdlib without the .h), and use a call to system("cls"); to clear the screen. There are also console funtions that allow you to manipulate console text, but just for clearning, that'll do fine.

Next question, you can't change the size of the console text programmatically. The default console window size is 80x24 (columns/rows)(IIRC) of text (though you can adjust the height on >Win98 systems. There are options you can change in the Properties dialog, but these affect all console windows, and are not involved with coding.

Hm. Got Verbosity? Hope that helps anyway.
