I am about to tackle DirectX, which I hear has a very high learning curve. I will use C/C++ with it, and a Borland Turbo compiler on Windows 98. What I''m looking for are some good resources (books, websites, etc.) that will help me learn how to use DirectX. Any recommendations?

Actually the documentation that comes with DirectX 7 is excellent for learning. It has some tutorial type stuff as well as direct reference on how to use certain functions. YOu might also consider getting one of the many many books on the market. I haven''t really seen any stellar online resources though. Cheers!

Windows Game Programming for Dummies has so many errors in it, it''s not even funny. I recommend just reading through the book, and then reading through the MS documentation (not quite as bad.... see "Loading MIDIs from resources")
