Balancing Game Skills based on random number of variables

I´m trying to achieve a model where I have a pre-defined set o variables that influence a bonus that a player has when compared to another one. First I was thinking about using a basic expressions where the bonus would be a multiplier in some of the factors. Then a unique multiplier would be used comparing to another player. I was also looking for a matrix transformation that would fit to my needs, anyone has tried anything like this? If someone could post their toughts. I would appreciate. Thanks! Muanis
