Passing back a string from a dll loaded with LoadLibrary

I know Im asking alot of questions.. Im sorry. Forgive me. Ok, I load up the command processing DLL with LoadLibrary. The DLL grabs the text from the edit box on the main application''s dialog, processes it, and is supposed to send the text back to the main application for display. How would I do that? I tried making a function to return a char pointer but it came up empty. Sorry for all the questions.
