matrices from a vector

Hi, I need help with this: I have two circles in my scene. They "lie" on the XZ plane. The one is at 0 on Y axis and the second is at 20. Now they are facing themselves. And I need them, when I rotate one(or both) around its center, to be facing again. I tried to get the vector S between the two centers and compute angles like this:Ax=acosf(DOT(||S||, ||one by one X, Y, Z||)). Then I rotated the two circles with the 3 matrices.
