Texture Mapping Color Problem

I have a texture loaded, which covers a terrain. The terrain models without the texture is dark red in color. And the texture has some deep blue color for surface representing water, some green for grasses and some brown covering mountain. The problem is when I render the texture the blue portion appears green, the brown as red and the green as dark blue. I feel it is something to do with setting the RenderState and TextureStage. I have been try some permutations and those do not seem to work out. Someone help please. Thanks in Advance Arun
