I''m looking at Direct X 8.1 SDK manual and the Reset method of IDirect3DDevice8, it says that the possible return values are D3D_OK D3DERR_INVALIDCALL D3DERR_OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY E_OUTOFMEMORY Yet when I use DXTrace on the HRESULT value from the Reset method I get the dialog stating that the error code is D3DERR_DEVICELOST The manual says that if the function fails it returns one of the above values (except D3D_OK, Then it didn''t fail which puts the device in a "lost" state, meaning that I should only get D3DERR_DEVICELOST after using TestCooperativeLevel(), yet I get it from the Reset() method. Anyone know why? (Sorry for the long read)
