It''s fairly easy to intercept messages from the left and right mouse buttons, but there are hundreds of different brands/models of mouse controllers out there these days, some with more buttons than others, some with two scroll wheels, etc.. Is there any possible way to find out and create hooks for all the known input points of a mouse controller? Without writing a driver specifically for every mouse out there, that is.. I''m doubtful..but curious..

Not really, most mice which have more than three buttons require you to "bind" the other button(s) to special key sequences. You probably couldn''t write your game (or whatever) to specifically use those extra buttons, but a user would bind the extra buttons to special keys (in the mouse driver) and then bind those keys in your game to whatever function they wanted.

If I had my way, I''d have all of you shot!
