Hi, I''m borrowing code from gametutorials.com to load terrain from a RAW grayscale image. The code was originally written for Windows, but I am developing on Linux, and I''m having problems converting some of the code for use on Linux. The original loader reads the RAW data into an array of BYTEs. The func declaration is void LoadRawFile(LPSTR strName, int nSize, BYTE *pHeightMap). However, BYTE wouldn''t compile on Linux, so I tried replacing it with GLbyte, GLubyte and char, none of which gave me the right results, ie. the RAW file was not read correctly. Does anyone know what type I should be using?? Is there a Linux equivalent to BYTE? Thanks!
