I am trying to cobble together my entry for the contest, and was revisting my sound code when I noticed something bizzare... Sound works fine under Win98, but when I moved to NT 4.0 I get NO sound whatsoever!? The call to lock the buffer fails with invalid param (DSERR_INVALIDPARAM), but yet succeeds on 98. The call looks something like this: hr = (*buffer)->Lock( 0, 0, (void**)&data, &bytes, 0,0, DSBLOCK_ENTIREBUFFER ); nothing unusual as far as I know, but hr == DSERR_INVALIDPARAM after the call. I am running NT 4.0, with service pack 3...can anyone point a finger to what I am overlooking? Thanks! Zach Edited by - mordell on 4/27/00 10:41:53 AM
