I am new here at gamedev.net, and would like the help of anyone who can. I would like to make video games. Simple statement, with inherent problems. First, I would like to learn both sides of the proverbial coin, the engine coding, and also the graphical side. The next problem is that I also play basketball, and would like to continue to play basketball in college. That is the problem. If I dont make it in basketball, I want the diploma to still stand out to potential employers. So I need to find a college. Right now I am finishing up my first semester at san jacinto college, just outside of houston. I am currently procrastinating on the homework for my beginning vb class, and plan to finish up with advanced next sem. anyways, any school that you guys could think of would be awesome, if it doesnt seem to work out right, I think that I am just going to give up on bball and go to fullsail. thanks for helping eric ps, if anyone could suggest a course of action for me to go through to start learning the right things that I will need. I know that C++ (duh) and directx are in there. and I am already learning 3ds max thanks and sorry for rambling It is time to bring back the games of our childhood. Time to show these flashy designers what made games fun.
